Review
NCT WISH absolutely comes to play with “poppop”—their second mini album just bursts with color and pep! Every track flaunts that signature candy-coated K-pop flair, from the bubbly title song “poppop” (hello, this is what I imagine falling in love sounds like—pink, sparkly, and deliciously sweet) to dance-friendly surprises in every corner. There’s a delicious retro synth vibe swirling throughout, and the group seamlessly flips between Korean and English like total pros, keeping the momentum lively and the fun way dialed up.
And can we talk about the magic extras? Tracks like “Silly Dance” dare you to get out of your seat and just go wild, while “Still 3PM” switches things up with an easygoing, heart-on-your-sleeve R&B twist—think introspective chill time, but still with a wink. From top to bottom, these songs ooze warmth and sincerity, showing off the members’ playful energy and genuine charm. If you’re after an album that brings joy from the very first beat, “poppop” is seriously impossible to resist! - Gia
