Review

Kanye West's seventh studio album, "The Life of Pablo", dropped in 2016 and sure stirred up the music scene. This album was first only available on Tidal, which had everyone talking, but eventually it hit other platforms and Kanye’s own website for purchase. Recording this album was like a world tour in itself, with stops in Italy, Mexico, Canada, and various spots across the USA. Kanye brought a killer lineup on this one, featuring artists like Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar, just to name a few.

The sound of "The Life of Pablo" is pretty fresh—it mixes hip-hop with some gospel vibes and throws in some electronic and experimental sounds. Kanye led the production team, which included big names like Rick Rubin and Noah Goldstein. The album spans over an hour of unique tracks that showcase Kanye’s knack for blending different genres and experimenting with music. While critics had mixed feelings, pointing out its somewhat chaotic nature, it still managed to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200. "The Life of Pablo" is definitely a standout album, showcasing Kanye’s bold approach to music and his ability to keep us all on our toes. - Aiden
