Review

Let me tell you about James Ingram's 'It's Your Night' - it's an absolute gem from 1983 that I can't get enough of! Quincy Jones worked his magic on this one, and boy does it show. Ingram's voice is just... wow. It's got this raw power that hits you right in the gut, but he's also got such range and versatility.

I'm obsessed with the duet 'Yah Mo B There' featuring Michael McDonald. Their voices blend so perfectly, it's no wonder it snagged a Grammy. And don't even get me started on 'Party Animal' - that song gets me moving every single time! But then you've got those heart-wrenching ballads like 'There's No Easy Way' that just make you want to curl up with a glass of wine and contemplate life, you know?

This album was a pretty big deal when it came out, hitting number 46 on the Billboard 200 and cracking the top 10 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart. It even went gold! It's crazy to think this was Ingram's debut - talk about making an entrance! If you're into that classic 80s R&B sound, you've got to give this a listen. It's the kind of album that just gets better with every spin. - Sienna
