Camila Cabello's aptly titled second album, "Romance," is the musical equivalent of a candid late-night chat about love's dizzying journey. Released in the chill of December 2019, this album doesn't shy away from wearing its heart on its sleeve—or rather, blasting it through your speakers with a blend of pop and Latin flair. Cabello's musical evolution since her first solo venture is evident, creating a sonic scrapbook that captures love's sugar highs and inevitable crashes with admirable frankness.
"Romance" snakes its way through the labyrinth of love, pausing to dance in both its shadow and light. The album serves up a medley of tracks, with earworms like "Liar" making you involuntarily tap your foot, while the synergistic collaboration with DaBaby on "My Oh My" adds a sprinkle of zest.
