Review
If you're into R&B that really digs deep and doesn’t shy away from the heavy stuff, Brent Faiyaz's "Fuck the World" should be on your playlist. The album is a mesmerizing mix of smooth vocals and biting lyrics, tackling everything from systemic racism to personal demons. It's Faiyaz's third EP, and man, does it showcase his growth as an artist. He lays it all out there with a rawness that’s pretty rare, blending his cool R&B style with narratives that make you pause and think.
"Fuck the World" isn't just another music drop; it’s an experience. With 10 tracks, each song peels back layers on subjects like societal ills, relationship challenges, and the allure and pitfalls of fame. What's cool is that Faiyaz isn’t just tossing out lyrics; he’s sharing the stories behind them, making each track that much more impactful. Fans and critics have been all over this release, and it’s clear why—this EP doesn’t just skim the surface. It dives deep, and it was recognized with a gold certification from the RIAA in December 2022. If you’re into music that combines dope beats with meaningful conversations, give this one a listen. - Ethan
