Brent Faiyaz, born in Columbia, Maryland, is an R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer who has been releasing music since the early 2010s. He first gained wider attention in 2016 through "Crew" with GoldLink and, around the same time, formed the group Sonder. Faiyaz is recognized for his atmospheric, introspective brand of contemporary R&B, with influences of soul, hip-hop, and blues, and he maintains creative independence through his label, Lost Kids, LLC. His notable projects include A.M. Paradox, WASTELAND, and Larger Than Life, and he's also known for both solo work and collaborative releases.
