Review

I've been playing 'The Altar' on repeat lately and absolutely loving BANKS' raw emotional energy. She has this incredible way of weaving her personal struggles into songs that feel like they're pulling secrets straight from my own diary. 'Fuck with Myself' and 'Gemini Feed' are standouts for me - so brutally honest in their exploration of self-worth and toxic relationships. The way she delivers those lines with such fierce vulnerability just cuts straight to the bone.

What really draws me to this album is how BANKS pairs her introspective lyrics with those moody electronic beats. Sure, some tracks hit harder than others (that's just how albums go), but when she's firing on all cylinders, it's magical. Her voice has this haunting quality that floats through the atmospheric production, creating this intensely intimate listening experience. 'The Altar' feels like BANKS is inviting you into her shadowy emotional world, and I'm totally here for that journey through the darkness. - Sienna
