Review

Let me tell you about Akon's 'Trouble'. This album is such a vibe! It dropped in 2004 and really put Akon on the map. I remember when it came out, I couldn't stop playing it. The way he mixes hip-hop, R&B, and African beats is just so fresh and unique. You can really hear his diverse background in every track.

'Trouble' was a huge hit, especially in the UK where it topped the charts. It did pretty well in the US too, going platinum and selling over 1.6 million copies. That's no small feat for a debut album! But what really blows my mind is that Akon got a Guinness World Record for being the top-selling artist for master ringtones. Remember when everyone had music ringtones? Akon was king of that era!

The tracks on this album are just so catchy. 'Locked Up' is this gritty, street-smart song that really got people's attention. And who can forget 'Bananza (Belly Dancer)'? That song still gets me moving every time I hear it. But my absolute favorite has to be 'Lonely'. It's so soulful and emotional, and I love how he sampled Bobby Vinton's 'Mr. Lonely'. Akon really showed his range with this album, from party anthems to heartfelt ballads. It's no wonder 'Trouble' launched him into stardom! - Sienna
