Review

Well, hot damn! Whiskey Myers' "Firewater" is one hell of a ride, let me tell ya. This ain't no watered-down country pop - it's a gut-punchin' blend of country rock and Americana that'll leave ya thirstin' for more.

Cody Cannon's vocals are rougher than a cactus and smoother than top-shelf bourbon, all at once. And when he teams up with the rest of the boys - Cody Tate, John Jeffers, Gary Brown, and Jeff Hogg - they create a sound that's tighter than the skin on a drum. Leroy Powell's production keeps things raw and real, like you're right there in some backwater honky-tonk.

From the foot-stompin' "Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd" to the soul-stirrin' "Ballad of a Southern Man," every track on this album tells a story that'll make you feel like you've lived it yourself. It's the kind of music that makes you wanna raise your glass, throw your fist in the air, and holler 'til your throat's sore. Whiskey Myers ain't just playin' music - they're capturin' the spirit of the South and bottlin' it up for all to taste. - Dusty
