Review

'Everything You Want' by Vertical Horizon is a total game-changer! This album totally put them on the map, and for good reason. It's their first major label release, and boy did they make it count. The way they blend those jangly guitars with smooth melodies is just *chef's kiss*.

Matt Scannell and Keith Kane really poured their hearts out on this one. You can feel the raw emotion in tracks like 'You're a God' and 'Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)'. And let's talk about that title track - it hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was pretty much everywhere in 2000. I mean, selling over two million copies? That's no joke!

What I love about this album is how it manages to sound polished but still keeps that authentic vibe. It's got that late '90s alt-rock feel, but Vertical Horizon definitely puts their own spin on it. Sure, you might hear a bit of R.E.M. influence, but these guys aren't copycats. They've got their own thing going on, and it's pretty darn awesome. - Courtney
