Review

'Fahrenheit' hit the shelves in '86, and man, did it shake things up for Toto. This wasn't just another day at the office for these rock veterans - it was a full-on changing of the guard. Joseph Williams stepped up to the mic, bringing fresh blood and a new vibe to the band's sound. The guy didn't just sing - he co-wrote five tracks on the album, leaving his mark right out of the gate. It's like when Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen - different voice, same killer tunes.

This album's got more flavors than a 31-flavor ice cream shop. From the radio-friendly hits 'I'll Be Over You' and 'Without Your Love' to the experimental title track with its wild intro, Toto wasn't afraid to mix it up. Sure, some folks missed the old Toto sound, but that's rock 'n' roll for you - always evolving. It's like when Dylan went electric at Newport - not everyone dug it, but it sure as hell made waves. 'Fahrenheit' might not have set the charts on fire, but it showed Toto could roll with the punches and come out swinging. - Jude
