Review

Holy shit, Tones And I's debut album 'Welcome To The Madhouse' is a wild ride through the mind of an artist grappling with success and isolation. This Aussie powerhouse didn't just sit on her ass during lockdown - she churned out 20 tracks of pure, unadulterated weirdness. It's like she took the repetitive hell of quarantine and turned it into a pop fever dream.

The production on this thing is raw as fuck, with Tones handling most of it herself. You can practically hear her fingerprints all over tracks like 'Fly Away' and 'Won't Sleep'. It's not polished, but that's the point. This album bleeds authenticity, even when it's diving headfirst into themes of loneliness and mental health.

Critics were split on this one, but who gives a shit? It still topped the ARIA Charts and snagged some award nods. 'Welcome To The Madhouse' is Tones And I flipping the bird to expectations and diving deep into her own creative insanity. It's a messy, personal journey that'll either have you hooked or scratching your head - but isn't that what great art is all about? - Chase
