Artist Bio

The Marías are an indie pop band based in Los Angeles, formed in 2016 by Puerto Rican-born vocalist María Zardoya and drummer/producer Josh Conway, later joined by Edward James and Jesse Perlman. Blending elements of indie pop, psychedelic soul, and alternative rock, the group often sings in both English and Spanish, giving their music a unique, multicultural edge. They first attracted attention with their *Superclean* EPs in 2017 and 2018, followed by notable releases like their chart-topping 2021 single "Hush" and the album *Submarine*. Signed to Atlantic Records, The Marías have performed at major festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza and are known for their strong live presence. Fans of Men I Trust, Crumb, and Mild High Club might find their dreamy, bilingual sound similarly appealing.
