Review

I've gotta tell you, "All Summer Long" by The Beach Boys is one of those albums that just screams California dreamin'. Released in July '64, this bad boy was a real game-changer for the band. Brian Wilson, the mastermind behind the scenes, really stepped up his game with this one. He was like, "Alright boys, let's show those Brits what we've got!"

The tunes on this album are a total departure from their usual surf and car anthems. Instead, we get these incredibly relatable songs about teenage life in SoCal. 'I Get Around' was their first number one hit in the States, and let me tell you, it's a banger. But don't sleep on tracks like 'Wendy' and 'Don't Back Down' - they're absolute gems.

What really blows my mind about "All Summer Long" is how Brian Wilson pushed the envelope with the production. The harmonies are tighter than ever, and the arrangements are just *chef's kiss*. It's no wonder this album hit number 4 on the Billboard charts and hung around for almost a year. Funny enough, it didn't make waves across the pond when it dropped in the UK. But hey, their loss, right? This album is a total mood and a perfect snapshot of that golden California summer vibe. - Sienna
