Artist Bio

The Avett Brothers are a folk rock band from Concord, North Carolina, formed in 2000 by siblings Scott and Seth Avett. Blending elements of folk, bluegrass, country, indie rock, and even punk, they've built a distinctive Americana sound over more than a decade of releases. Their 2009 album *I and Love and You*, produced by Rick Rubin, brought mainstream attention and led to multiple Grammy nominations, while later works like *True Sadness* and a 2016 HBO documentary further expanded their profile. The band also ventured into Broadway with the 2024 release of the *Swept Away* cast recording, and their music appeals to fans of bands like Mumford & Sons, Trampled By Turtles, and Dawes. Known for sincere songwriting and dynamic live shows, The Avett Brothers continue to be a prominent name in American roots music.
