Artist Bio

The Airborne Toxic Event is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2006 by Mikel Jollett. Their sound blends indie rock, classic rock, and art rock, and they're particularly known for incorporating string instruments and literary influences, notably taking their name from Don DeLillo's novel White Noise. The band gained early recognition with their hit "Sometime Around Midnight" and have released several albums, including their debut in 2008 and Hollywood Park in 2020, which accompanied Jollett's memoir. Over the years, they've undergone lineup changes and played energetic live shows, often featuring orchestral collaborations. Fans of bands like Arcade Fire, The National, or The Killers might enjoy The Airborne Toxic Event's approach to emotionally charged, genre-blending rock.
