Review
Tate McRae really hit the nail on the head with her EP "Too Young to Be Sad," which dropped on March 26, 2021, under RCA Records. This collection of six tracks, including hits like "you broke me first" and "slower," beautifully mix pop with electronic influences. The whole vibe of the EP is a fascinating play on youthful carelessness versus the weight of real, heavy emotions, which she explores through her songs. It’s this mix of being young and grappling with deep feelings that gives the EP a special kind of relatability.
What I love about this EP is how Tate brings such raw emotion and vulnerability into her music, which has clearly spoken to muchos listeners—just look at its success on Spotify, with over a billion streams! Critics have been all over this, praising her honest lyrics and standout vocal performances. "Too Young to Be Sad" really showcases her growth as both a songwriter and a performer. It's been a pleasure watching her rise and this EP is a testament to Tate McRae’s evolving artistry in the vibrant world of pop and electronic music. If you're into music that touches the heart while making you want to dance a little, this is totally worth a listen. - Sofia
