Review
Tate McRae totally knocked it out of the park with her debut studio album "i used to think i could fly," released on May 27, 2022. This album is like a rollercoaster of emotions, perfectly capturing the ups and downs of growing up with its 13 brilliantly crafted tracks. Tate's voice is nothing short of amazing, sliding effortlessly from delicate whispers to powerhouse belts, which really lets the raw emotion of each song soak right in.
Starting with the vibey lead single "feel like shit," which dropped in November 2021 and quickly blew up on TikTok, Tate set the stage for a deeply honest and relatable narrative. The second single, "she's all i wanna be," followed in February 2022, delivering catchy tunes that stick in your mind and lyrics that hit right in the feels. The entire album is a lush mix of electronic beats and acoustic vibes, making every track a rich, immersive experience. Honestly, "i used to think i could fly" is a stunning showcase of Tate’s vocal versatility and her knack for heartfelt songwriting. It’s a must-listen for anyone who loves getting lost in stories of heartache, self-discovery, and personal growth. - Melody
