Review

I've been obsessed with 'Street Talk' since I stumbled across it years ago. Steve Perry's voice is absolutely stunning throughout this record - it's that perfect blend of power and emotion that just grabs you. 'Oh Sherrie' is such a brilliant track, and I'm not surprised it climbed to #3 on the charts - that chorus is completely stuck in my head half the time! But don't sleep on 'Foolish Heart,' 'She's Mine,' and 'Strung Out' - they really show how versatile Perry can be vocally.

What I love most about this album is how it captures that dreamy 80s AOR sound with all those gorgeous harmonies and melodies. The production is so lush with all those synths and guitars working perfectly together. This was Perry's big solo break from Journey, and going 2x Platinum proves he absolutely made the right move. Every time I put this album on, I'm transported right back to 1984, but somehow it still feels completely relevant today. That's what makes a truly special record in my book. - Sienna
