Artist Bio
Snail Mail is the project of Lindsey Jordan, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Ellicott City, Maryland. She started releasing music as Snail Mail in her teens, debuting with the EP Habit in 2016 before joining Matador Records for her acclaimed indie rock albums Lush (2018) and Valentine (2021). Jordan’s sound blends lo-fi indie pop and raw, emotionally charged guitar rock, drawing comparisons to artists like Soccer Mommy, Phoebe Bridgers, and Waxahatchee. Known for candid lyrics about love, longing, and personal growth, she’s received critical praise, toured widely, and was nominated for Best Rock Performance at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Jordan is recognized not only for her authentic songwriting but also for her openness about identity and mental health within the indie scene.
