Skillet's 'Unleashed' is a freakin' punch to the gut, in the best way possible. These Christian rockers don't pull any punches, delivering a solid 43 minutes of pure adrenaline-pumping tunes. The opener 'Feel Invincible' is an absolute banger, no wonder it got snagged for WWE's Battleground and TBS' ELeague. It's the kind of track that makes you wanna headbang till your neck hurts.
But don't think Skillet's just a one-trick pony. They mix it up with tracks like 'Stars' and 'Out of Hell', showing they can do more than just melt faces. 'Watching for Comets' and 'Saviors of the World' bring some depth to the table, proving these guys aren't just about loud guitars and pounding drums.
The whole album's a rollercoaster ride, with 'The Resistance' wrapping things up in true Skillet style. Producer dream team Brian Howes, Kevin Churko, Neal Avron, and Seth Mosley really knocked it out of the park, capturing the band's raw energy and spiritual vibe. 'Unleashed' cements Skillet's spot at the top of the Christian rock heap, and it's easy to see why. This ain't your grandma's church music, that's for damn sure. - Jaxx
