Silversun Pickups is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2000 by Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester. They’re known for their blend of indie rock, shoegaze, and post-punk revival, and started releasing music with their debut EP *Pikul* in 2005, followed by albums like *Carnavas* and *Swoon*. The band runs their own label, New Machine Records, and has worked with producer Butch Vig on later albums such as *Widow’s Weeds* and *Physical Thrills*. While they haven’t picked up major awards, Silversun Pickups have enjoyed critical acclaim and a steady fanbase, with personal themes often influencing their work.
