Artist Bio

Santigold, born Santi White in Philadelphia, started releasing music as a solo artist in 2008 after fronting the punk band Stiffed. Known for merging indie rock, electronic, reggae, hip hop, pop, and new wave, she’s released acclaimed albums like *Santigold* and *Master of My Make-Believe* and collaborated with artists including Jay-Z, David Byrne, and Diplo. Her singles “L.E.S. Artistes” and “Creator” became underground hits, and she’s recognized for her artistic independence and genre-blending style. Santigold’s work has earned her awards like the NME Best Breakthrough Artist and ASCAP’s Vanguard Award. Fans of M.I.A., Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Knife will likely appreciate her eclectic sound.
