Reneé Rapp's debut EP "Everything to Everyone" really hits home with its introspective vibe and lyrics that cut deep. You can feel her pouring her heart out through every note, which comes across in spades as she tackles a spectrum of personal challenges and emotions. Starting off with the title track, she takes us on a journey that navigates the struggles of living up to everyone's expectations, all packaged in a melody that'll stick with you long after the song ends. When you hit the extended tracks, the additional instrumentals and verses only amplify the feels.
"In the Kitchen" strikes a chord particularly hard—it's an anthem for anyone who's ever been bruised by love, with a rawness that Reneé's voice captures perfectly. Then you've got "Bruises," which is, for lack of a better word, just stunning. It's more than just a song; with its gritty instrumentals and a music video that's a piece of art in its own right, it solidifies Rapp as a multifaceted talent. The EP isn't just about the heavy stuff, though. Tunes like "Colorado" and "Don't Tell My Mom" explore different emotional landscapes, from seeking a fresh start to confronting familial angst head-on. "What Can I Do" stands out for its candidness about identity and sexuality, adding another layer of authenticity to her already impactful tracklist. Reneé Rapp is sure making waves, and this EP signals the beginning of what's bound to be an incredible musical voyage. - Ethan
