Artist Bio

Phoenix is an indie pop band from Versailles, France, formed in the late 1990s and made up of Thomas Mars, Deck d'Arcy, Christian Mazzalai, and Laurent Brancowitz. They released their debut album, United, in 2000 and found international acclaim with Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix in 2009, which won a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album and included popular tracks like "Lisztomania" and "1901." Over the years, Phoenix has explored indie pop, synth-pop, pop rock, and new wave across several albums, collaborating with artists like Clairo along the way. Known for their catchy melodies and the blend of electronic and organic elements, their music often places them alongside bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Passion Pit, and The Strokes. They continue to evolve their sound, most recently with 2022’s Alpha Zulu.
