Review

"Cacophony" by Paris Paloma is one of those albums that just grabs you and doesn't let go. I've been spinning it non-stop since it dropped, and let me tell you, it's a wild ride. Paloma's voice is something else - it can go from a fierce roar to a delicate whisper in the blink of an eye. The way she tackles heavy subjects like mental health and societal pressures is so raw and honest, it's like she's reading pages from my diary.

The production on this album is top-notch, with Paloma and Justin Glasco creating this incredible sonic landscape that perfectly matches the emotional intensity of the lyrics. "Labour" is the standout track for me - it's no wonder it went viral. It's got this infectious energy that makes you want to dance and scream at the same time. And don't even get me started on "Boys, Bugs, and Men" - the way it breaks down misogyny with such a catchy tune is pure genius.

What really struck me about "Cacophony" is how Paloma balances the heavy stuff with moments of real beauty. "Triassic Love Song" is this gorgeous, stripped-back track that gives you a breather from the intensity. It's like she's taking you on this emotional journey, and just when you think you can't take anymore, she gives you a soft place to land. This album is definitely not background music - it demands your attention, and trust me, it's worth every second. - Jennifer
