Artist Bio

NOFX is a punk rock band that emerged from California's San Francisco Bay Area in 1983, founded by Fat Mike, Eric Melvin, and Erik Sandin, with El Hefe joining later to round out the classic lineup. The group began releasing music in the late 1980s and made a significant mark with the gold-certified album *Punk in Drublic* in 1994, cementing their influence in melodic hardcore and skate punk. Known for their biting political lyrics, irreverent humor, and staunch DIY approach, NOFX stuck with independent labels like Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords (the latter started by Fat Mike) and consistently avoided major label deals. Their catalog includes fifteen studio albums, live releases, and projects like *The War on Errorism* that took aim at the U.S. political landscape. Fans of bands like Bad Religion, Lagwagon, and Pennywise will find a kindred spirit in NOFX, who wrapped up their four-decade career with a final retirement in 2024.
