Review

'Tragic Kingdom' dropped in '95 and it's the real deal, y'all. This No Doubt joint took them from SoCal ska underdogs to straight-up pop royalty. After Eric Stefani bounced in '94, his sis Gwen stepped up to the plate with her songwriting, and let me tell you, she knocked it out of the park.

Matthew Wilder's production is on point, giving us a slick blend of ska, reggae, punk, and power pop that'll make your head spin. Gwen's vocals? Straight fire. She's got this crazy range that can go from fierce to fragile in a heartbeat. Just peep 'Just a Girl' and 'Don't Speak' if you don't believe me.

This album's got more hits than a heavyweight boxer. 'Spiderwebs', 'Sunday Morning', 'Happy Now?' - each track's a banger in its own right. And the lyrics? They're raw and real, diving into Gwen's breakup with Tony Kanal and all the drama that comes with being in a band. No wonder this album's still considered one of the greatest of all time. It's a '90s classic that still slaps today. - Tatiana
