Review

Talk about a blast from the past! Nelly's 'Country Grammar' dropped in 2000 and totally shook up the hip-hop scene. This album was like, the perfect mix of Southern hip-hop and pop-rap, with Nelly's Missouri twang giving it that extra oomph. Jason "Jay E" Epperson and crew hooked up the production, serving up those bass-heavy beats that had everyone and their mama bobbing their heads.

You know what's wild? This album went Diamond! That's right, over 10 million copies shipped in the US alone. Tracks like 'Country Grammar (Hot Shit)' and 'E.I.' were straight fire, with hooks that stuck in your head like peanut butter on the roof of your mouth. And let's not forget 'Ride wit Me' featuring City Spud - that joint was smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy, sampling DeBarge's 'I Like It' and crossing over to pop fans everywhere. Nelly really came through with an album that wasn't just for the hip-hop heads, but for everyone looking to get their groove on. It's no wonder 'Country Grammar' is still considered one of the best albums of all time! - Kyle
