Review

Let me tell you about Midland's "On The Rocks" - it's a real treat for country music lovers. This debut album from 2017 is packed with 13 tracks that the band wrote themselves, and it's got that authentic country vibe that'll make you want to kick off your boots and stay a while.

I'm absolutely in love with Mark Wystrach's vocals on this record. His voice just oozes emotion, and when he's backed up by Jess Carson and Cameron Duddy, it's pure magic. They've got this harmony thing down pat, and it really shines through on songs like "Drinkin' Problem" and "Make a Little."

What really sets this album apart is how it manages to sound both old-school and fresh at the same time. The steel guitar and harmonica give it that classic country feel, but the production is slick enough to appeal to modern ears. It's no wonder it went Gold - these guys clearly know what they're doing. If you're into country music that tells a story and tugs at your heartstrings, "On The Rocks" is definitely worth a listen. - Sienna
