Lucy Dacus is a singer-songwriter from Richmond, Virginia, who has been active since the mid-2010s and is known for her introspective indie rock and folk sound. She gained recognition with her 2016 debut album "No Burden" and has released several albums and EPs since, including the critically acclaimed "Historian," the concept-driven "2019" EP, and "Home Video." Signed to Matador Records, Dacus is recognized for her biographical lyrics and rich storytelling, exploring personal and universal themes.
