Review
I've always loved the music of Los Enanitos Verdes, and their album "Contrareloj" is definitely one of my favorites. Released in 1986, this album marked a significant milestone in the band's career, and it's easy to see why - the fusion of hard rock, new wave, and Latin alternative elements is infectious. The production quality, handled by the talented Andrés Calamaro, adds a polished yet energetic touch to the tracks. I appreciate how the album showcases the band's ability to craft catchy, emotionally charged songs. The album's diversity is also something that I love, with songs that range from introspective and melancholic to energetic and rebellious.
The album's tracklist is full of hits, including "La muralla verde", which became the band's first major hit and one of the most iconic songs in Argentine rock. Other standout tracks like "Conciencia contra reloj" and "Tus viejas cartas" also garnered considerable attention and radio play. I'm impressed by the band's musicianship, with Marciano Cantero's distinctive vocals, Felipe Staiti's intricate guitar work, and Tito Dávila's keyboards all coming together to create a unique sound. "Contrareloj" was a commercial success, and it helped establish Los Enanitos Verdes as a major force in Latin American rock. To this day, the album remains a vital part of their legacy and a must-listen for fans of Latin rock and Argentine music - it's a trueclassic that continues to inspire and influence new generations of music lovers, and I always say ¡es una joya! - Sofia
