Artist Bio

Lori McKenna is a singer-songwriter from Stoughton, Massachusetts, who began performing publicly in 1996 and released her debut album *Paper Wings & Halo* in 1998. Working primarily in folk, Americana, and country, McKenna is known for her intimate, story-driven songs that often draw from her experiences as a mother and her New England upbringing. She has written chart-topping hits for major Nashville artists, including "Girl Crush" for Little Big Town and "Humble and Kind" for Tim McGraw—both of which earned her Grammy Awards for Best Country Song. In addition to her successful songwriting career, McKenna's solo releases like *The Bird & the Rifle* have received critical acclaim and Grammy nominations. Her sound will appeal to fans of Brandy Clark, Patty Griffin, and Mary Gauthier.
