"Strange Trails" by Lord Huron really hooked me from the get-go when it dropped in 2015. This album takes you on a mystical journey combining indie rock with a touch of folk, and even sneaks in the cool vibe of rockabilly. Lord Huron is an indie rock band based in Los Angeles, founded by Ben Schneider around 2010, known for their mix of folk, rock, country, and cinematic soundscapes. Their debut, *Lonesome Dreams*, arrived in 2012, and they've since put out several albums, including *Strange Trails* and *Vide Noir*, with their music often drawing comparisons to the likes of Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, and Neil Young.
