Review

'Living Things' drops like a bomb, blending Linkin Park's classic vibe with some fresh tricks up their sleeve. It's the last time Rick Rubin's in the producer's chair for these guys, and damn, does it show. This ain't your little brother's Linkin Park - it's a grown-up version that still knows how to throw down.

Shinoda and Bennington are back at it, tag-teaming vocals like they were born to do it. 'Burn It Down' kicks things off with a bang, guitars wailing and choruses soaring. But don't think they've gone soft - 'Lies Greed Misery' hits you with a one-two punch of rock and electronica that'll leave your head spinning.

But it's not all mosh pit material. 'Castle of Glass' takes things down a notch, showing off the band's softer side without losing that edge we all love. The whole album's tight as hell, thanks to Manny Marroquin's mixing skills and Brad Delson throwing his two cents in. No wonder this bad boy went Platinum and topped the charts - Linkin Park proves they've still got the goods, and they're not afraid to use 'em. - Rafe
