Review
As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow across the sky, it's the perfect moment to immerse yourself in Kygo's 'Golden Hour'. This album is best experienced during that magical time when day transitions to night, the air still warm from the day's heat, but with a gentle breeze promising the cool evening to come.
'Golden Hour' is a vibrant tapestry of sound, weaving together tropical house beats with an impressive array of vocal collaborations. From the soulful posthumous contribution of Whitney Houston to the country twang of Zac Brown in 'Someday', Kygo demonstrates his ability to bring out the best in each artist he works with. The album's pacing is masterful, alternating between introspective tracks like 'Beautiful' featuring Sandro Cavazza and more upbeat offerings such as 'Lose Somebody' with OneRepublic.
Kygo's signature piano elements shine throughout, adding emotional depth to the carefully crafted electronic landscapes. The production quality is top-notch, with each track flowing seamlessly into the next, creating a cohesive hour-long journey. As the last notes fade and the stars begin to twinkle in the twilight sky, listeners are left with a sense of having experienced something truly special - a golden hour of music that resonates long after the sun has set. - Aurora
