Review

'Come Around Sundown' hit me like a freight train when it dropped in 2010. Kings of Leon really stepped up their game, y'know? It's like they took all that gritty Southern rock energy and polished it up real nice, but without losing their soul.

I remember cranking 'Radioactive' in my beat-up Chevy, windows down, feeling like I could conquer the world. That track's got hooks for days, I swear. But then you've got songs like 'Mary' and 'The Face' that'll have you reaching for the tissues. Caleb Followill's voice is something else - raw one minute, smooth as honey the next.

This album's got layers, you feel me? 'Back Down South' and 'Beach Side' take you on a nostalgia trip, while 'The Immortals' and 'Birthday' are like a rollercoaster of feels. It's the kind of record that grows on you, revealing new depths with each listen. Kings of Leon really showed us what they're made of with this one, and damn if it didn't leave a mark. - Ivy
