JVKE's debut album "this is what ____ feels like (Vol. 1-4)" is a real rollercoaster of emotions, and I'm here for it! The way he's divided the album into four chapters, each representing a different stage of a relationship, is just brilliant. It's like he's taken us on a journey through love, heartbreak, and everything in between. I can't help but feel a connection to the raw emotions he's poured into each track.
What really stands out to me is how JVKE and his brother ZVC produced the entire album themselves. That's some serious talent right there! The care they've put into crafting each song is evident, with the lyrics and melodies working together to hit you right in the feels. Songs like "this is what falling in love feels like" and "moon and back" capture that giddy, butterflies-in-your-stomach feeling of new love so perfectly. And then there are the tracks that deal with the pain of betrayal and the struggle to move on - they're just as powerful and relatable.
I've got to mention "golden hour" - that song is an absolute banger! It's no surprise it made it onto the Billboard Hot 100. But what I love most about this album is how it goes beyond just being a collection of catchy tunes. JVKE's created an immersive experience that takes you through the whole spectrum of love and heartbreak.
