Review

'Sleepyhead' is a ripper of a release from Jutes, taking you straight back to the 2000s with its pop-punk vibes while cranking up the intensity with nu-metal influences. He's ditched the label life and gone indie, and crikey, it shows in the creative freedom splashed across this album. The expanded version of his earlier EP absolutely delivers, with Jutes smashing genre boundaries to bits and creating something that'll get both the old-school rock crowd and younger listeners nodding along. The title track's already killing it with over 6 million streams, and it's not hard to see why.

Don't even get me started on 'Safe Word' - it's a perfect example of what makes this album special. Jutes has this brilliant way of creating high-energy rock that's both intense and sensual, with vocals that pack a serious punch. Throughout 'Sleepyhead', you can hear him experimenting without any corporate suits telling him what to do, and the result is genuine music that feels both fresh and familiar. This bloke's evolution as an artist is on full display here - he's taken risks and they've paid off brilliantly. - Ruby
