Review
I've been listening to "Hudson Westbrook" and I gotta say, this Texas native's got some serious soul. His self-titled debut EP, released in 2024, is like a warm summer evening - it's got a laid-back vibe, but with a spark of energy that keeps you coming back for more. I'm reminded of those nights spent sippin' sweet tea on the porch, swappin' stories with friends, and that's exactly what Hudson's music feels like. He's got a way of spinning heartfelt lyrics into something that feels both intimate and expansive, like you're sittin' right there with him.
The way Hudson blends country with a hint of rock is pretty infectious, and tracks like "Pray Your Name" and "Take Your Time" showcase his talent for storytellin'. I've found myself thinkin' back to my own memories, like the time I took a road trip with friends and we ended up singin' along to the radio at the top of our lungs - that's the kind of feel-good energy Hudson's music captures. With only seven tracks, the EP is short and sweet, but it's clear Hudson's got a lot to say, and I'm excited to see where his music takes him from here. His ability to blend genres while keepin' it real is definitely somethin' special, and I'm lookin' forward to hearin' more from him in the future. - Wade
