Review

You know, I've been spinning 'Women In Music Pt. III' by HAIM pretty much non-stop since it dropped in June 2020. It's like the Haim sisters took all the best parts of their sound and cranked it up to eleven. The way they blend '70s rock vibes with modern pop is just *chef's kiss*. I remember listening to 'The Steps' for the first time and feeling like I was right there with them, rocking out in a sunlit LA studio.

This album isn't afraid to get real, and I love that about it. Songs like 'Man From the Magazine' hit home, addressing the kind of stuff we women in the industry deal with all the time. It's refreshing to hear it laid out so plainly in a killer track. And don't even get me started on the production - Danielle, Rostam, and Ariel really outdid themselves here. The way they weave in elements of R&B, garage, and even a touch of jazz? It's like musical comfort food with a gourmet twist.

I wasn't surprised at all when 'Women In Music Pt. III' snagged that Grammy nom for Album of the Year. It's the kind of record that just keeps giving with each listen. From the catchy hooks of 'I Know Alone' to the sultry vibes of 'Gasoline', HAIM proves they're not just here to play - they're here to slay. And hey, topping the UK Albums Chart? That's just the cherry on top for these talented sisters. - Jennifer
