Review

Buckle up, music mavens! Gesaffelstein's "Hyperion" is a sonic rollercoaster that'll have your eardrums doing backflips. This 2019 release is a wild ride through the electronic wilderness, where industrial beats tango with ambient whispers and house rhythms play hide-and-seek with EDM drops. From the thunderous "Reset" to the haunting "Memora," each track is a different flavor of auditory sorcery, conjuring up atmospheres darker than a black hole's closet.

But wait, there's more! Gesaffelstein's got some A-list pals along for this cosmic journey. The Weeknd lends his angelic pipes to "Lost in the Fire," while Pharrell Williams sprinkles his funk-dust on "Blast Off." And let's not forget Haim, who bring their indie charm to "So Bad." It's like a musical potluck where everyone brought their signature dish. The pièce de résistance? "Humanity Gone," a 10-minute ambient odyssey that'll make you question whether you've transcended to another dimension or just need a nap. Love it or hate it, "Hyperion" is an adventure that'll leave you dizzy, dazed, and definitely not bored!- Romy
