Forever Grey – Departed

Review

In the shadows of Los Angeles, Forever Grey unveils their haunting opus "Departed," a musical séance that summons the spirits of loss and isolation. This darkwave ensemble weaves a tapestry of sorrow with synth-laden textures and spectral vocals, creating an auditory tomb where listeners can confront their deepest fears. Tracks like "Alone" and "Labor of Death" serve as pallbearers, carrying us through a funeral procession of emotions. The album's narrative, a requiem for the living, reaches its zenith in "Common Coffin" and "Downpour," where the band exhumes our collective longing for connection amidst life's relentless decay. "Departed" is not merely music; it's an exquisite exploration of mortality's shadow, inviting us to dance with our demons under a moonlit sky of synthetic melancholy.- Kaida
