Review
'Concrete and Gold' delivers a ripper blend of hard rock intensity and catchy pop hooks that'll leave you gobsmacked! The Foo Fighters weren't playing it safe with this 2017 release, throwing everything from punk aggression to classic rock vibes into one massive sonic party. Dave Grohl and the lads pulled in some serious star power too - Paul McCartney bashing the skins on one track, Justin Timberlake adding vocals, and even Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman jumping in to create this wild musical melting pot.
The album takes you on a proper journey between quiet, thoughtful moments and full-throttle rock explosions. Tracks like 'Run' and 'The Sky Is a Neighborhood' absolutely sizzle with energy, while 'Happy Ever After (Zero Hour)' shows off their more melodic and psychedelic side. What makes this album really special is how the Foos managed to stay true to their signature sound while still pushing into new territory - capturing both hope and desperation in ways that stick with you long after listening. It's the Foo Fighters at their experimental best, proving they've still got plenty to say in the rock world! - Hunter
