Review

Well, let me tell ya 'bout Flatland Cavalry's "Wandering Star". This here album's got a little bit of everything, kinda like my grandma's potluck dinners. They've cooked up a real nice mix of love songs and heartbreak tunes that'll have you feelin' all sorts of ways.

Now, I gotta say, Cleto Cordero and his pals sure know how to write a song. They teamed up with some other talented folks like Ashley Monroe and Randy Rogers, and boy, did it pay off. You got songs like "Only Thing at All" that'll make you wanna cry in your beer, and then "Mornings With You" that's sweeter than my mama's apple pie.

The music's got that warm Texas country feel, with plenty of fiddle and acoustic guitar to boot. "A Thousand Miles an Hour" and "The Best Days" are the kind of tunes that'll make you wanna roll down the windows and sing at the top of your lungs. Sure, some folks might say it ain't as magical as their old stuff, but I reckon it's still a darn good listen for anyone who loves a good country tune. - Mia
