Review

You know, I've been spinning "Stay Gold" by First Aid Kit quite a bit lately, and let me tell you, it's like a warm hug for your ears. Those Söderberg sisters really outdid themselves on this one. It's their third album, and you can just feel how much they've grown since their earlier stuff.

What really caught my attention was the gorgeous 16-piece orchestra they brought in. It adds this whole new dimension to their already beautiful harmonies. I mean, can you imagine those voices backed by all those lush strings? It's like they took their folksy roots and gave them a fancy makeover.

The lyrics on "Stay Gold" hit different too. They're getting real about life, change, and all that good stuff. There's this track called "My Silver Lining" that just gets me every time. And don't even get me started on "Master Pretender" - it's like they're singing right to my soul. Fun fact: they were inspired by a Robert Frost poem for this album. How cool is that? It's not just pretty tunes; these girls have got some serious depth. - Ashleigh
