Review

Evanescence's "Fallen" truly made waves when it burst onto the scene in 2003. The combo of gothic flair and punchy nu-metal was just the ticket for music lovers hunting for something with a little more depth and drama. Amy Lee's incredible voice is like the perfect storm over the mix of heavy guitar work and those lush strings, giving each song a distinctive Evanescence vibe that's hard to forget.

The single "Bring Me to Life," which you might remember from the "Daredevil" movie, definitely didn't shy away from the spotlight. It mixed everything from rock to rap, topped off with Lee's impressive pipes, and became pretty much the anthem of the early 2000s for so many. Then there's "My Immortal," that stripped-down piano ballad that could give you chills with its raw emotional pull. The album isn't just hit singles, though. Tracks like "Everybody's Fool" and "Haunted" dive deep into the tougher stuff we all wrestle with, from self-deception to those internal battles that feel super real. All throughout "Fallen," the production hits that sweet spot—polished but with an edge that keeps it feeling genuine. With 17 million copies finding their way into people's lives all over the world, "Fallen" isn't just another album; it’s a landmark for both the band and fans alike, still making an impact years later. - Courtney
