Artist Bio

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros was a Los Angeles-based folk rock band formed in 2005, fronted by singer Alex Ebert and known for blending elements of roots, gospel, and psychedelic music. Their debut album, *Up from Below* (2009), featured the breakout hit “Home,” which became a viral favorite and set the tone for their uplifting, communal style. The group’s lineup was famously fluid, with as many as ten members at a time and notable collaborator Jade Castrinos until 2014. They were recognized for energetic live performances and a hippie-inspired vibe, as well as for their involvement in social activism projects. Fans of The Head and the Heart, Of Monsters and Men, or Fleet Foxes will likely connect with their sound.
