Review
Wow, "Her Loss" is quite the album, huh? Drake and 21 Savage have been slaying it since their collab on "Sneakin'" back in '16. These two have been flexing their lyrical prowess on tracks like "Mr. Right Now," "Knife Talk," and that banger "Jimmy Cooks" - it's clear they've got a winning combo going on.
The production on this album is next level, with producers like Boi-1da, Metro Boomin, Oz, and more bringing those beats to life. Even though they just got one guest feature from Travis Scott, the music is still fire. But let's be real, the critics were pretty mixed on this one. Some folks loved the chemistry between Drake and 21 Savage, while others thought it was a bit predictable and lacked depth. Especially Drake, his "toxic petulance" apparently rubbed some people the wrong way.
Despite the critical divide, "Her Loss" definitely crushed those charts. It jumped to number one on the Billboard 200 and eventually got certified double platinum - you can't argue with those numbers! Tracks from the album were also killing it, making it into the Hot 100's top 10. But it wasn't all smooth sailing, the album stirred up some drama with Drake's lyrics dissing Megan Thee Stallion, Serena Williams and her husband. The promo for the album even got them in hot water with a lawsuit from Condé Nast. All in all, it's clear that "Her Loss" is a split bag - it's got those undeniable Drake and 21 Savage vibes, but it also shows the downsides of their collaborative style. It's definitely an album that'll get fans hyped, but it's not gonna please everyone. - Sienna
