Review

Holy shit, Deftones' 'Koi No Yokan' is a fucking sonic assault that'll leave you gasping for air. This album is a goddamn rollercoaster ride through the twisted minds of Sacramento's finest. From the bone-crushing riffs of 'Swerve City' to the ethereal dreamscapes of 'Entombed,' these guys don't pull any punches.

Nick Raskulinecz's production is tight as hell, giving each track a razor-sharp edge that'll slice right through you. The way Deftones blend metal, shoegaze, and post-rock is like nothing else out there. It's like they took a bunch of genres, threw them in a blender, and created this beautiful, chaotic mess.

But don't think for a second that this is just mindless noise. There's a depth to 'Koi No Yokan' that'll fuck with your head long after the last note fades. Tracks like 'Tempest' and 'Rosemary' are epic journeys that'll take you to places you never knew existed. This album is a middle finger to anyone who thinks heavy music can't be beautiful and complex. Deftones proved once again why they're the kings of alternative metal, and 'Koi No Yokan' is their fucking crown jewel. - Nikki
